She is also dealing with her mom's weird new boyfriend, a statue in the living room, and seeing demonic spirits everywhere. Why is it so hard now that she's a Christian? Shouldn't her senior year be fun? What about her growing feelings for Tanner? Will she choose him and break up with Isaac? Will her mom be okay once her long lost dad shows up? Will Kenzie?
What a heartfelt story of family, growing up, choices, life, heartache and peace. Life isn't meant to be easy for Christians. Kenzie's story portrays that beautifully. Extremely well written, with excellent insight into the mind of a Christian teenager. I love it.

Read it! PLEASE...Dont let the tiny price tag mislead you! The single best series I've read in years!!! From teens to their parents, they'll be fighting over these books. Buy a set for the highschool library, the church library... I did!
I bought this book originally for my 13 year old daughter who was looking for a few new books to read during free time. Since I was unfamiliar with the storyline, I took the opportunity to skim the first chapter to make sure it would be something appropriate and worth her reading. When I got to the end of the first chapter I realized I HAD to go back re-read the entire beginning, not just skimming, and needed to know where the characters where headed and what would happen in the end. The read is not difficult, in the slightest, and the plot line is somewhat predictable, but I thoroughly enjoyed it regardless. My teen actually had the book taken away as a punishment for NOT doing her homework, and I have never seen her beg for a book's return before, she was that wrapped up in the storyline.
The story deals with current, relevant issues that face young teen girls that often don't get much air time, or are difficult for parents to just begin talking about out of the blue. It gave my daughter and I a reason to discuss why girls turn to these behaviors, how to avoid getting caught up in them, and that there is alway redemption & forgiveness for us. I highly recommend this trilogy to young teen girls (and their moms!)
